Saint Vincent De Paul Affordable Housing Project

This morning was the celebration of the official groundbreaking for the new 72 affordable housing project being undertaken by the Saint Vincent De Paul Society. This is their first effort in Ontario with partnerships from the Catholic Diocese, the City of London and the St. Andrew’s Church congregation.
The project's success can be attributed to campaign Chair Larry McKenzie, Shelly, Linda, Michael and their whole committee, the planners at Zelinka Priamo, city of Lonon staff, Mayor Morgan, Councillor Cuddy (the ward councillor for this location), Councillor Lehman and many more who’ve helped shepherd this project from idea to construction ready.
The addition of 72 new units (17 fully accessible), all in the affordable category will be a welcome addition to the City’s “Road Map to 3000” Affordable Housing efforts. Now the workers can come on-site and build a place that people will soon be able to call home.
